Guitarist and co-vocalist of Red Fang, the Portland, Oregon heavy-rock band known as much for their self-deprecating beer-soaked music videos as for their thick, hooky stoner-metal riffs. Giles and co-guitarist David Sullivan built the band's tone on solid-state Sunn Beta Lead heads cranked into a wall of distortion -- a deliberately blunt, no-frills rig that made Red Fang's 2011 breakthrough Murder the Mountains a underground favorite.
