Black Sabbath's guitarist and the godfather of heavy metal. After losing his fingertips in a factory accident, Iommi tuned down, used light strings, and created the heaviest guitar tone of the early 1970s. His detuned SG through a Laney amp defined the doom-laden sound of heavy metal.
