Vernon Reid

Living Colour's guitarist and a founder of the Black Rock Coalition. Reid fuses hard rock, funk, free jazz, and metal into a hyperactive, effects-rich attack — best known for the staccato pull-off riff and improvised solo of 'Cult of Personality.' On Living Colour's 1988 debut Vivid he played a multi-colored ESP Mirage loaded with EMG pickups into a wall of Marshalls, with a Pro-Co RAT supplying the bite.
