Free Bird

The blueprint southern-rock outro solo. Allen Collins played the entire four-minute Free Bird outro himself on a modified 1964 Gibson Firebird I run through a slaved Marshall Super Tremolo + Fender Twin Reverb rig — Marshall grind for sustain, Fender Twin for clarity, both pushing the same Strat-into-cab signal. The solo was tracked in two takes and double-tracked for stereo width. No pedals, no boost — just two cranked amps in parallel.
