Carlos Santana

Mexican-American guitarist who fused Latin percussion rhythms with blues-rock guitar. Santana's PRS through a Mesa Boogie Mark I produces a singing, sustained lead tone drenched in midrange warmth. His tone on Smooth and Supernatural brought him back to mainstream dominance in 1999.
