Long Live Rock 'n' Roll was cut at the Chateau d'Herouville outside Paris with Martin Birch, still running the AIWA TP-1011 tape deck as a front-end boost into a modified Marshall Major. At this tempo the amp has to stay tight, so the dirt sits in the tape preamp and the Major keeps its headroom.
