Stricken

The driving drop-C chug of Disturbed's Ten Thousand Fists single. Dan Donegan tracked the album through a Randall RM4 modular preamp whose '1086' module — built in the studio by Randall's techs alongside producer Johnny K — he describes as a cross between a Mesa/Boogie and a Bogner Ecstasy. Run into an RT2/50 power amp and Randall 4x12s with Vintage 30s, it's tighter and more mid-forward than the Rectifier sound of the debut. His Washburn Maya signature, born the same year, carries the riff in drop C.
