Neon Knights

The fastest thing Sabbath ever opened an album with, and the first Iommi tone that does not run a treble booster. John 'Dawk' Stillwell rebuilt six Marshall 1959 Super Leads with an extra gain stage for the Heaven and Hell sessions -- 'he'd done away with the treble booster I had forever,' as Iommi put it -- so the gain finally lives inside the amp instead of in a box in front of it. At this tempo that matters: the boost is gone and the note separation comes back.
