Fall to Pieces

Slash's most emotive ballad lead, from Velvet Revolver's 2004 debut Contraband. Tracked with Josh Abraham at Pulse/NRG and mixed by Andy Wallace, the tone is pure Slash: a Les Paul (a '56 Goldtop for the rhythm, his Derrig '59 replica for the solo) into a Marshall 2555SL Silver Jubilee through a 1960BV cab with V30s. Tuned a half-step to Eb, with an MXR 10-band lifting the solo. Singing sustain over a clean-then-crunch arrangement.
