The tight, mid-forward drop-B chug that drives Slipknot's biggest single. Cut for Vol. 3 with Rick Rubin at the Mansion and Sound City, 'Duality' is NOT the band's later Rivera/Orange touring rig — Mick Thomson tracked through a VHT Pitbull into a Carvin 4x12, and Jim Root through a Reinhold Bogner-modded Uberschall. Vol. 3 was the band's first Pro Tools album, and Thomson deliberately pulled the gain back and pushed the mids for a cleaner, more articulate wall than Iowa.
