Mark Tremonti's rhythm sound on that album was a Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier with an Ibanez Tube Screamer slammed into the front, tracked through a PRS Singlecut — the Recto's tight, aggressive gain plus the TS mid-hump is the whole Creed crunch. Drop D tuning gives the riff its low, chugging weight. The Cornford RK100 handled leads; the Triple Rec is the rhythm engine here.
