Bulls on Parade

The bowel-shaking riff and the 'DJ scratch' solo that made a guitar sound like a turntable. Tom Morello cut Bulls on Parade on his 'Arm the Homeless' custom — a Performance body with a Kramer graphite neck, EMG 81/85 pickups and a toggle wired as a kill switch — into a 50-watt Marshall JCM800 2205 and a Peavey 4x12. Contrary to the Drop-D myth, the song is in E♭ standard (tuned a half step down). The solo is wah heel-down, one pickup killed, the toggle flicked while his left hand scratches the strings.
