Hackett names this song and Firth of Fifth in the same breath when asked about his 1957 Les Paul Goldtop, but they are opposite tones. Firth of Fifth is a neck pickup and a note held for bars at a time; the fast middle section of Moonlit Knight is the bridge pickup, tapped and swept, several years before either technique had a name or a following. Same Goldtop, same Hiwatt, same germanium fuzz, and a completely different set of knobs.
