Munky and Head ran modified Ibanez Universe 7-strings (the K7 signature didn't arrive until 2001) into Mesa/Boogie Rectifiers, tuned to A-standard (A-D-G-C-F-A-D), with maxed bass and mids scooped near zero for the cavernous, percussive chug.
