Hisingen Blues

The fast, hard title track from Graveyard's 2011 breakthrough — vintage Swedish hard rock cut 100% analog to tape by Don Alsterberg at Don Pierre Studios, Gothenburg. Joakim Nilsson tracked it on a Hagström Viking (his older Hagström had been stolen) into a Laney GH100TI run with its preamp tubes swapped for less gain, with a ProCo RAT as the one studio dirt pedal — 'mostly we just play with the amps.' The result is a thick, mid-rich British crunch that owes more to a cranked Plexi than to any fuzz.
