Earth Rocker

The title-track gallop from Clutch's 2013 album, cut with producer Machine at The Machine Shop in Belleville, NJ. Tim Sult tracked the whole record on one electric -- a Gibson Les Paul Junior with a single P-90 -- straight into a cranked Marshall JCM900, with a JTM45 layered in for heft. No pedals, no fuzz: the raw, in-your-face crunch is a hot P-90 hitting a master-volume Marshall and an Orange 2x12 of Vintage 30s. Standard E.
