Before I Forget

The driving, anthemic drop-B riff of Slipknot's Grammy-winning single. Like the rest of Vol. 3, 'Before I Forget' was cut with Rick Rubin — and the bulk of the guitar wall is Jim Root's Reinhold Bogner-modded Uberschall, 'an Uberschall on steroids,' with Mick Thomson's VHT Pitbull on the other side. This is the actual recording rig, not the later Rivera/Orange touring setup. The tone is tighter and more mid-present than Iowa — the band's first Pro Tools record.
